I think I've got everything working with my WiSIP (great phone, BTW), but wanted to run the ports by you to make sure. I register fine and can make and receive calls.
Anyway, here's the config:
Otbound proxy - proxy01.sipphone.com, port 5060 (I can't use stun because of the symmetric NAT)
SIP proxy - 1747xxxxxxx@proxy01.sipphone.com, port 5060
Expire Time 1200
OPTIONS Interval Timer 0
Registrar Username 1747xxxxxxx
Registrar Password xxxx
My doubt really comes from the port numbers. I seem to register fine, but I've never seen a config that uses the same port for both Outbound and SIP proxy.

Perhaps, SIPPhone does some odds thing to use the same 5060 port. I know Standard SIP uses 5082 for outbound proxy. |

I actually tried to use that port initially, but the phone would never register.
5060 was the only port I could use that would register.

Interestingly enough, I can't leave it blank in the setup. If I try, it automatically places a 5060 in the proxy and udp in the port fields, which then doesn't allow me to register.
The only way I've been able to successfully register is with an outbound proxy of proxy01.sipphone.com, port 5060.
I'm not complaining, by any means... it works. Just strange.

5060 is the default port - that's why it inserts it. But are you saying that 5060 works or that 5060 doesn't work? |

Comes down to semantics, I guess. 5060 works fine. I was using the terminology in WiSIP setup.

Hey RickH,
Now that you've had the WiSIP phone for a couple of weeks, give us an update on your opinion of it.
Has it been working well for you?

I really like it. It's a solid piece of hardware. Good display. Good audio quality. The only thing I wish I could do, and can't is use the phone at, say, an internet cafe that needs a username/password. I don know of any way to enter in the info. But that's not the phone's problem.
I guess another thing is that you can't have multiple providers configured in the phone. Pulver Innovations provides a configurator program (Windows) that'll let you reconfigure with different providers, though, so that's not too much of a problem. I called them to ask if they were going to provide a firmware upgrade that may allow for multiple providers in the future, and was told probably not. They're supposedly bringing out newer hardware that may be capable of this.
I can use it without problems both at work and on my wireless at home.
All in all, though, it's a great little phone.

What software version are you running? I had trouble getting it to work it my environment - DHCP and SIP problems.
The new phone is from a different manufacturer so I'm hoping that they software will be better - along with the hardware.
The internet cafe problem can be solved but I doubt there is enough demand yet to support devices without web clients... or maybe the phones will get web clients first! |

Same here. I finally sent it back because of all the problems.

One of the first things I did after purchasing the phone was go to pulverinnovations.com and get the firmware update. It's v. 00.11. I don't remember what the original version was, but I've had no problems with this version.
